Since many people swear by Retin A, a very effective medication used to reduce wrinkles, I wanted to know if there was a cheaper, non-prescription and less harsh product out there. So I interviewed a nurse from a prestigious plastic surgeon's office. The veteran nurse I spoke with administers Botox, Juviderm, Retin A and other injectable and topical treatments. When I asked her about alternatives to Retin A and the like, she recommended RoC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream.

I was surprised since I was expecting something expensive, not a cream that costs under $20. I tried it myself and here is my review.

RoC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream

RoC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream is a good, cost effective alternative to Retin A and really does seem to reduce wrinkes. I have fair skin that is sensitive and the active ingredients in this product did not irritate my skin. However, it is important to use sunscreen during the day since it can make your skin more sensitive to sun.

The cream feels good going on. It is smooth, not too greasy and has no unpleasant smell. A little bit of it goes a long way. It comes in a tube so you don't have to put your fingers in a jar. And of course the the price is very affordable at under $20. After a few weeks I started to see results, and after several months my crows feet and other more noticeable wrinkles became less noticable.

So although this cream doesn't have the more immediate and dramatic results Retin A can produce, it is most definitely less harsh, much less expensive and over time can provide a noticeable result.
