    • 1). Lift the Hyundai's hood and loosen the bolt on the negative battery terminal with the wrench. Remove the battery cable from the battery post and set it aside. Move to the inside of the vehicle.

    • 2). Pry the dash panel surrounding the stereo assembly from the dashboard with a trim panel removal tool. Pull the panel from the dashboard far enough to reach the four wiring connections to the back side of the panel.

    • 3). Disconnect the two wiring connectors from the top edge of the panel --hazard light switch and airbag. Unplug the two connectors fro the bottom of the panel (climate control) and set the panel aside.

    • 4). Remove the two screws on either side of the Hyundai's stereo bracket with the Phillips-head screwdriver. Pull the stereo from the dashboard stereo dock and unplug the stereo wiring and antenna cables from the back of the unit.

    • 5). Insert the aftermarket stereo faceplate adapter into the dock and feed the stereo wiring and antenna cables through the back of the adapter. Push the faceplate adapter into the dock until it locks into place. Plug the Tiburon's stereo wiring connectors into the wiring harness adapter leads.

    • 6). Plug the wiring harness adapter lead connectors into the outlets on the rear panel of the new stereo. Insert the antenna cable lead into the antenna input on the back of the new stereo deck. Slide the unit into the faceplate adapter until it locks into place within the dock.

    • 7). Place the dash panel against the dashboard and reconnect the wiring connectors to the corresponding outlets on the back of the panel. Press the panel against the dash until it snaps back into place. Move back to the Hyundai's battery.

    • 8). Place the negative battery cable clamp onto the negative battery terminal post. Tighten the cable to the post with the wrench and close the hood.
