Draw a circle on your canvas for the top of the chimpanzee's head. Add an oval down and to the left of the top circle for the mouth and nose section. Draw a curved line across the middle of the top circle. This will act as the guideline for the eyes and ears. Add a small curved line near the top of the oval. This will act as a guideline for the nose. Add a longer curved line near the bottom of the oval for the mouth. - 2). Add the left shoulder and arm with a diagonal line connected to the left side of the head and running to the bottom left corner of the canvas. Add the right arm with a diagonal line pointing toward the upper right corner. Add the back with a diagonal line coming form the back of the head.

Draw the eyes with small ovals on the eye guideline. Add two diagonal rectangle above the eyes for eyebrows. Draw the ear with a small circle at the end of the eye guideline on the chimpanzee's left side. Create the nostrils with two small triangles on the nose guideline. Add two curved lines shaped like parentheses to the sides of the nostrils to create the full nose. Add fur around the chin and cheeks with a triangular shapes much like a series of upside down and right side up "V" shapes. - 4). Draw the irises inside the eyes with small circles. Add a tuft of fur coming off the the area to the left of the chimpanzee's right eyebrow.
- 5). Erase the guidelines. Add wrinkles under the eyes with three wide "U" shapes. Add wrinkles to the upper lip with five short vertical lines above the mouth line.

Paint the eyebrows, ears, nose and mouth beige. Paint the area around the eyes, the bridge of the nose and between the eyebrows blue gray. Paint the fur around the chin and cheeks gray. Paint the arms, shoulders and the side of the head dark blue. Paint the top of the head blue gray. The eyes of the chimpanzee should be white. Paint the irises orange and the pupils black. Paint the nostrils black. - 7
Dip a your small brush into some white. Dab the brush off on a paper towel slightly and paint the small lines over the edges of the chin and cheek fur. Mix one brush load of beige with one brush load of white. Paint small vertical lines in between the wrinkles on the upper lips. Add highlights to the upper left side of each eyebrow. Mix one brush load of dark blue with one brush load of beige. Add a line of this paint under the bottom lip. Add a semi-circle of this color inside the ear. Paint the background green or another natural color.
