- 1). Draw up a mock-up of your billboard on a piece of paper. You want to have a plan before you make any permanent changes to your billboard.
- 2). Add faces or animals to your billboard. People are attracted to faces and cute animals, and their eyes will linger to read your message or ad pitch. Just make sure there isn't too much text or else they may just stop reading all together.
- 3). Add sparkle and shine to your billboard. Metallic paints, tin foil, and shiny dust can all be used to capture the attention of those who see your message. This works especially well outdoors when the sun is shining. You can decorate the outer border of the billboard or go around the edges of your text with a metallic paint that will light up when the sun hits it.
- 4). Try adding some three dimensionality to the billboard. You can do this simply by adding shadows to the text in your billboard or you can actually attach objects to the billboard.
