- 1). Hang them 1 to 2 feet above the back of the couch. This puts the pictures in an eye-level position and ensures that your guests will not accidentally knock them down with their heads when they lean back. Arrange them so that they are an equal distance apart, spanning the exact length of the couch, going in a straight line.
- 2). Arrange the pictures in a stair step fashion, with the first just above the left corner of the sofa and the rest going upward above the couch. The center of this arrangement should be at eye level, and the pictures should stay within the framework of the couch.
- 3). Place the pictures in a square formation, either in the center of the couch or with two pictures at each corner. In either arrangement, the middle of the square should be at eye level.
