Options for playing MP4s on a Car Stereo

    • 1). Connect your mp4 player to your car stereo through an FM transmitter. These transmitters will connect to your portable music player and send a radio wave to your car stereo. You will set your radio to a specified channel and sync your music player with that channel.

    • 2). Connect your mp4 player through a cassette adapter. If your car has a tape deck, you can plug the cassette adapter into the headphone jack of your portable mp4 player and place the cassette into the tape deck.

    • 3). Connect an mp4 player into your custom stereo receiver. If you have installed a custom stereo receiver (replaced the stock car receiver), there will most likely be an input on the receiver for auxiliary audio devices. You can connect your portable music player to the receiver through an mp4 connection cable.

    • 4). Connect your mp4 player directly into the car stereo through an mp4 player connection cable. Many cars are already equipped with the capability to connect to portable music players. If this is the case for you, simply plug the connection cable into your mp4 headphone jack.
