- 1). Grasp your free loose hair using your index finger and thumb. Form a small loop.
- 2). Insert the crochet hook underneath the braid until the latch is fully pulled through to the other side of the braid.
- 3). Insert your looped hair onto the crochet hook. Pull the hair back through the braid using the crochet hook until the latch closes. Release the crochet hook.
- 4). Place your index and middle fingers inside the loop, while tightly holding the loose strand of hair with your other hand.
- 5). Pull the loose strand of hair through the loop and pull hair to make a knot.
- 6). Separate the strand of hair to make two strands. Overlap one strand of hair over the other to create an X. Bring one strand of hair underneath and upward in the loop. Hold both strands of hair and pull to make a second knot.
