2011 Fall Booties for Women
I remember when booties were actually more of a sub-category of boots, but now, they've finally arrived as a full-fledged, bona fide women's shoe style, and though they've gained popularity as year 'round footwear, they're absolutely perfect for fall.
Below, I've highlighted a few women's bootie styles that capitalize on some of the hottest shoe trends of fall 2011.
Another feature that makes these booties stand out in a crowd is the center-seamed almond-shaped toes, which are a bit more sophisticated than round toes, but not quite as harsh or foot-lengthening as pointy toes are.
Priced at $110 per pair, these booties would look great with jeans, and they'd be awesome with casual, short skirts and dresses.
With 4.25" stiletto heels and .75" partially-concealed platform soles these booties offer loads of sex appeal in a flattering and versatile package. You could wear them with jeans as easily as you could with your favorite skirt or dress, and if you're not afraid of pairing opaque tights with open-toed shoes, then you could really get creative for fall.
Also available in black suede and taupe leather, these booties have side goring for easy access, and are priced at about $110 per pair.
Available in black, cognac, and taupe, these women's booties ring up at just under $100 per pair. They'd be a natural match for jeans, and they'd also be really cute with shorter, casual skirts and tights.
Featuring 4.5" heels and 1.25" hidden platform soles, these fun, flirty and casual booties are available for pre-order, and are priced at just under $170 per pair. They look fantastic in all three color options: black leather, taupe leather and, my personal favorite, a dusky burgundy suede, and any of them would be a perfect match jeans.
Finally, a stylish mid-heeled bootie for fall! I can't tell you how many times I've fallen in love with a pair of booties, only to realize that I've prematurely given my heart to a pair of 5" stilettos that I'll probably never be able to wear -- at least, not without risking severe injury to myself, and those around me.
But, in addition to being a super-cute accessory for jeans, these Vigotti booties have nice and chunky mid-height heels, and they come in three versatile finishes, including black suede, black leather, and dark brown leather. In any shade, booties like these are fantastic for when you want to add a bit of height to a casual outfit, and you'd like the look of boots without having to bother with taller styles.
Priced at $115, these booties come in narrow, medium, wide and extra-wide widths, and they feature double side-goring for added comfort and easy access.

•Jessica Simpson 'Fionna' - Sexy Booties with Sky-High Heels
With ultra-skinny 5-inch heels, there's no doubt that these booties are sexy, but there's something really pretty about them as well. I think it's the way that the smooth, matte leather uppers are offset by the snakeskin-embossed ankle straps and heel cups. This affect is pretty powerful on the gray version of these booties, and it's even more so on the black version for some reason.Another feature that makes these booties stand out in a crowd is the center-seamed almond-shaped toes, which are a bit more sophisticated than round toes, but not quite as harsh or foot-lengthening as pointy toes are.

•BCBGirls 'Jardenas' - Sexy Open-Toed Booties
If the red suede uppers on these women's booties hadn't already got me, the slightly ruched uppers definitely would have -- and that's really saying something, since I normally don't go in for open-toed boots and booties. With 4.25" stiletto heels and .75" partially-concealed platform soles these booties offer loads of sex appeal in a flattering and versatile package. •DV by Dolce Vita 'Pura' - Cute and Casual Women's Booties
These booties are a bit like chukka boots with heels. I've seen similar styles from several popular brands, and I've really liked most of them, but what I especially like about DV's 'Pura' booties is the covered wedge heels and platforms -- it gives them a really cool, simplified look. What's hiding underneath the suede is 4.5" heels and 1" platform soles.Available in black, cognac, and taupe, these women's booties ring up at just under $100 per pair. They'd be a natural match for jeans, and they'd also be really cute with shorter, casual skirts and tights.
•Steve Madden 'Saffronn' - Killer Booties with Chunky Heels
Since big, bold heels are all the rage for fall 2011, I knew that I wanted to include at least one style of booties that had a high, chunky heel. What I didn't know was that I'd find a pair I loved as much as I adore these 'Saffronn' booties from Steve Madden.Featuring 4.5" heels and 1.25" hidden platform soles, these fun, flirty and casual booties are available for pre-order, and are priced at just under $170 per pair.
