- 1). Make your cleaning solution: Squirt two drops of soap into a bowl and add two cups of warm water. You do not want suds.
- 2). Dip a rag in the solution and wring it out. Wipe the cloth areas of the gloves and blot at any muddy areas. You can even scrub a little bit if the dirt is ingrained.
- 3). Apply the saddle soap to the leather of the gloves. If a sponge comes with the soap, use it to buff the soap into the leather.
- 4). Massage the leather so that you can loosen it and prevent the sweat in the leather from crusting up and making your gloves brittle.
- 5). Wear the gloves as they dry to prevent the leather and cloth from changing shape from the dampness and washing. Flex your fingers and move the gloves around as they dry to keep them soft and supple.
