- 1). Collect a variety of bottle caps. If you want your bottle cap coffee table to have geometric patterns, you want to use 2 to 4 different styles. If you want a chaotic, multicolored look, get as many different kinds as you can find.
- 2). Make a boundary of bottle caps around the top of the coffee table. Carefully arrange them until you are happy with their position.
- 3). Use glue to attach them to the coffee table. A hot glue gun will allow you to attach them without moving them, but many different kinds of glue will work.
- 4). Arrange the other bottle caps inside the boundary. Try making stripes, diamonds and other geometric shapes. You can use the table without the bottle caps fastened down, so feel free to experiment for a while.
- 5). Glue the other bottle caps down. Drop a dab of hot glue near the edge of each bottle cap.
- 6). Once the glue has cooled, check to make sure every bottle cap is attached. Shake the table to see whether any of the caps rattle. Glue down the stragglers.
