- 1). Plug one end of the composite cables into the Video + Audio OUT ports on the Comcast DVR.
- 2). Insert the other end of the cables into the matching ports on the video capture adapter. For example, connect the yellow end of the cable to the yellow port on the adapter.
- 3). Plug the USB adapter into an open USB port on the side of your Mac. Click the "Finder" icon and click the capture software included with the adapter.
- 4). Turn on the Comcast DVR and press the "DVR" button on the remote. Select a recording you want to download to your Mac and press "Enter."
- 5). Click the "Record" button in the capture software. Highlight the "Play" option on the DVR and press "Enter" to begin downloading the recording to your Mac. Click the "Stop" button in the software to end the download process.
