Video Transcript
Hi, I'm Jeffrey Paul, celebrity makeup artist. And today, I'm going to show you full coverage makeup for acne prone skin. So, for acne prone skin, you want to be able to cover the blemish or skin discoloration or redness. You want to be able to make the skin look like one unique even canvas, without looking too heavy or too thick. You want to the skin look like yours, glowing radiant. Today I'll be using Dream Matte Mouse by Maybelline. With a makeup brush or a sponge, you want to be able to apply the foundation. You can see that Kimberly's skin is pretty much even. There's maybe one or two blemishes. So, in a situation like this, you want to do one light coverage for over the whole skin. Skin that usually is acne prone, has a different oil gland, or maybe it's producing more oil. So you want to have a foundation that's a light coverage, it''s sheer, it's transparent, but you want extra coverage on blemishes. You could see right there, I could dot it with my brush, I could dot a little extra with my finger, or even a Q-tip or sponge and then blend out the extra around the pimple or blemish. Because what you want is coverage on it but not too much around it. You want the skin to look like one sheer uniform canvas. With this foundation, you want to be able to put it in key areas and then blend it from there, maybe around the nose, a little bit under the eyes, and down by the lips and chin. For acne prone skin, areas that you may need a little bit extra coverage, would be the t zone. Using a product like this, actually mattafies the face, gives a sheer complexion and gives one clear uniform look. So, with a foundation like this, it's made especially for oily or more moisture skin types. You could see right here, with a brush, and I'm applying it liberally so you can see where I'm putting it, right on top of the two little blemishes that she has. With a fingertip you can blend it, or with your brush if you needed to blend it. You want to keep the product so that it's on top of the blemish and fades away in the otherly direction. The consistency of the foundation is transparent. It's light, it's sheer. And it should be because it's going to absorb excess oil and keep your skin matte throughout the day. It's also going to give you a longer coverage. So the small brush or a foundation brush or even a sponge, you can evenly spread foundation, to the key areas and make your foundation and skin look flawless. So, to finish off the look, I dusted a little bit of powder, so you can see that her foundation is even, it's sheer, transparent. Blemishes are covered and it's one uniform color. There you go. That's how you do full coverage makeup for acne prone skin. I'm Jeffrey Paul. Thank you for watching.
