Anxiety creates negative feelings and some of the physical effects include heart palpitations, nausea, chest pain, shortness of breath, stomach aches and headaches.

If you are a beginner in such groups, you can observe the interaction that the individuals have with one another.
Usually no one will ask you to participate until you feel comfortable with those surroundings.
You can then share your fears and life's experiences and will find out that you are no longer alone.

Hours also vary to accommodate individuals who may have differing work hours.
Anxiety is a complex disorder and to make these groups successful requires individuals who can identify with each other.
If you suffer from anxiety or you know someone who does, thoroughly research a local group to see if it will meet your needs.
Anxiety affects millions of people and can be treated.
But you will need to first find out what type of anxiety you do have.
If you experience social phobia, you would not want to attend a group that primarily deals with GAD (generalized anxiety disorder) or OCD (obsessive/compulsive disorder).
The success rate would be almost nil as you would be unable to identify with these support groups.
Anxiety support groups really do help.
If anything else, you will find out you are not alone when experiencing negative sensations that an anxiety/panic attack can bring on.
