A panic attack originates from anxiety.
It is a feeling ordinary for a human being.
Whenever facing a trying or a terrible situation, it is normal for an individual to worry, be tensed and feel anxious.
Anxiety, by increasing the level of adrenaline, actually makes the body vigilant and ready from likely harms or injuries.
Adrenaline is a substance that makes you stronger and alert.
This is the reason why the body secretes it in times of trouble to make the person agile, strong and alert, characteristics that will save you from possible damages.
But, if anxiety prevents you from your ordinary activities you might be suffering the disorder.
There are some signs that are not easily understood because it is masked as ordinary or it pertains to a different cause or disease.
  • Panicking.
    It is an ordinary reaction to be panicky in certain situations.
    It is actually the lack of preparation that makes one panic.
    The fear that something dreadful may happen and one might be unable to control it.
    It is essential to panic because this sends a signal to the body that increases alertness and intelligence.
    However, in case of a panic attack the victim doesn't regain control and is being devoured by the fear and I being unable to move or do something about the situation.
    This is why victims feel helpless in panic attacks.
  • Sweating.
    As intolerable as sweating can be, it is a normal and a healthy process our body goes through.
    It is ordinary to sweat more during exams and interviews or anything that will make you undergo scrutiny.
    However, when it becomes excessive it could mean something else.
    A panic disorder is specifically caused by an anxiety problem.
    Anxiety is nothing but normal.
    It is the inability to manage or make it subside that makes it a problem.
    The sweating could indicate that the situation brings in so much anxiety to the victim.
  • Nausea.
    It is a sensation accompanying the urge but not always leading to vomiting.
    It may be caused by early pregnancy, gallbladder disease, intense pain, seasickness and other motion sickness, central nervous system tumors, food poisoning and numerous enteroviruses.
    If one of the symptoms mentioned above is not present then it may be a panic attack.
    The dizziness is caused by the brain's inability to process the victim's anxiety.
There are still lots of symptoms of panic attacks to watch out FOR like diarrhea, insomnia, fatigue, frequent urination and headaches.
They are so ordinary that most don't suspect them as panic attacks.
The manifestations will not be camouflaged by certain diseases if the general public sees to it that they are aware of their individual physical and mental conditions.
Millions of people around the world suffer panic attack.
So, a victim should never restrain and be ashamed of the condition instead help should be sought as soon as possible.
If left untreated a simple panic attack might transform into a panic disorder, a higher level illness with extreme symptoms.
