How to Remove Cooking Oil From Timberland Boots
- 1). Blot as much of the oil as you can immediately after the stain occurs. Avoid wiping, as this will spread the stain over a larger area.
- 2). Sprinkle a layer of either talcum powder or cornstarch over the entire stain. Allow the powder to sit on the stain overnight.
- 3). Gently wipe the powder residue away with a dry cloth. Repeat the process if necessary.
- 4). Rub more powder rapidly into the spot to create friction and heat on any of the stain that remains. Heat loosens the oil and helps the powder absorb it.
- 5). Spray a light coating of leather polish over the leather to help it regain its luster.
