- 1). Open your iTunes and click on the iPod song you would like to make into a ringtone for your Palm phone.
- 2). Select "Edit">"Preferences">"Import Settings" in the iTunes main menu.
- 3). Click "Import Using: AAC Encoder" in the "Import Settings" menu and click "OK." This will convert your song in Advanced Audio Coding format.
- 4). Click "Advanced" with the song highlighted and select "Create AAC Version." This will load a new version of your song directly below the original in your library.
- 5). Right-click on the new song and select "Get Info" in the pop-up menu.
- 6). Click "Options" in the "Get Info" menu and change the starting and ending time of your song to a clip of 30 seconds or less. Click "OK" and your song will be in ringtone format, ready for transfer to your Palm.
