- 1). Squirt a few drops of a de-greasing liquid dish detergent onto the stain and rub it in vigorously with a soft, nylon bristled brush.
- 2). Allow the shirt to soak in the detergent for about 10 minutes.
- 3). Wash in cold water with your regular laundry detergent.
- 4). Dab a mixture of two parts water and one part bleach onto the collar if the previous steps don't work, and rub the collar together for one minute. Again, follow with a cold water wash.
- 5). Place the shirts in direct sunlight to dry for several hours in order to add an extra bit of whiteness to the fabric.
