- 1). Raise the clamping leaf by pushing the clamping handle of an aluminum flashing brake away from you.
- 2). Slide a piece of aluminum flashing under the raised clamping leaf. Align the end of the aluminum with the forward edge of the lower bending die. Pull the clamping handle toward you to lock the aluminum in place.
- 3). Pull the lower bending handle up until the bending leaf sandwiches the aluminum against the forward angle of the clamping die. Lower the bending handle.
- 4). Push the clamping handle away from you. Slide the bent edge of the aluminum flashing toward you. Push the folded section of aluminum under the opened clamping leaf. Pull the clamping leaf down to fold the bent section of aluminum tightly to the face of the flashing.
- 5). Pull the hemmed aluminum flashing from the aluminum brake.
