A variety of tips are available that will fit the factory exhaust of a Camaro. To be sure you buy the correct tips, measure the diameter of the tailpipes. They are typically about 2 1/4 inches. You can choose tips that are designed specifically for the Camaro or universal dual tips that can give the tailpipe a more custom look. - Magnaflow makes exhaust tips designed specifically for the Camaro (Part 35150). These tips are made from polished stainless steel and are backed by a lifetime warranty. The inlet bore is 2 1/4 inches in diameter and the outlet bore is a flattened rectangle. The tips are available as a pair and cost about $270 as of 2010.
- If you are looking for universal dual tips, a number of polished stainless-steel and chrome-plated tips are on the market. Attaching a dual tip to each of the exhaust pipes of the Camaro will present a high-performance look of four exhaust pipes. Some of these tips, such as those from Pacesetter, are filled with glass resonance and will mellow the tone of the Camaro exhaust.
- You also can buy two single-bore tips and attach one to each of the exhaust ends. This style is more in line with the factory exhaust system for the 1992-2002 Camaros. Single-bore tips are available in a variety of styles that include wide bore, slash cut, rectangular bore and triangular bore. Most of these tips are polished stainless steel or chrome-plated but some manufacturers offer black chrome as well.
