How to Keep a Down Comforter From Slipping Around in a Duvet

    • 1). Purchase a set of "comforter clips" from a home store or online. Attach the clips to the corners of the down comforter to keep the corners flat. Turn the duvet cover inside out and roll it down over the down comforter.

    • 2). Sew one end each of two pieces of twill tape -- long enough to tie around the down comforter's corner -- to each corner inside the duvet cover. Or sew one piece of twill tape to the inside corner of the duvet and one piece of twill tape to the outside corner of the down comforter. After placing the down comforter in the duvet tie the corner of the down comforter tightly together with the two ends of the twill tape if sewing the tape to the duvet. If sewing a piece of twill tape to both the down comforter and the duvet, simply tie the ends together inside the duvet.

    • 3). Safety pin each corner of the down comforter to each corner of the duvet. Pin it inside to hid the pins and prevent the pins from poking through as easily if they come undone.

    • 4). Secure the down comforter ends with small metal binder clips before placing it inside the duvet.
