How to Check a Grand AM Coolant Level

104 9
    • 1). Pull the hood release lever inside the car.

    • 2). Lift the hood open. There is a release toward the middle of the hood.

    • 3). Hook the hood stand to the underside of the hood so that it stays open without your having to hold it.

    • 4). Locate the coolant reservoir. It should be on the far left. It looks like a big, thick milk jug and is filled with pink fluid.

    • 5). Check the fill levels on the front of the coolant reservoir. There is no need to open the reservoir, as the fill lines are on the outside of it. There are two: one for if the car is hot, and the other for if the car is cool. "Hot," in this case, refers to if the car has been running. If the pink fluid does not reach the appropriate fill line, it is time to add coolant to the reservoir.
