AVS Converter

• 1). Download and install AVS Video Converter, free of charge (see link in the Resource section). Run the installation process and open the program.
  
  
• 2). Click the "Browse..." input file name button to enter a new pop-up window and locate the desired MPEG on your computer. Open your file in AVS.
  
  
• 3). Select the "To WMV" option at the top of the program's main screen.
  
  
• 4). Press the output file name "Browse..." button to define your output file's save location on your computer. You may also click the "Edit Profile" button to change your WMV preset options, if desired. (For general conversions, it may be best to stay with the pre-selected AVS option).
  
  
• 5). Click "Convert Now!" to begin the conversion.
  
  

Zamzar

• 1). Launch your Web browser and visit Zamzar.com (see link in the Resource section). Select the "Convert Files" tab in the middle of the screen.
  
  
• 2). Click the "Browse..." button in the Step 1 box to locate the MPEG on your computer in the pop-up window and open it in Zamzar.
  
  
• 3). Select "WMV" from the drop-down list of output formats in Step 2.
  
  
• 4). Enter your email address in the Step 3 box to receive your converted file from Zamzar.
  
  
• 5). Click "Convert" to agree to the terms of use and begin the conversion. You may watch your file being uploaded in the pop-up progress bar, and you will receive a download link via email.
  
  

Media-Convert

• 1). Go online to Media-Convert.com and select the "Local File Conversion" tab.
  
  
• 2). Click the "Browse..." button on the left side of your screen to select the MPEG on your computer that you want converted.
  
  
• 3). Choose one of the ".mpg" options from the "Input Format" drop-down menu, depending on your MPEG's specific format.
  
  
• 4). Select "Windows Media Video (.wmv)" from the list of output format options.
  
  
• 5). Enter your email address in the "Advanced Settings" menu below to receive a notification with a download link when the conversion is complete. Click "OK" to accept the terms of use and begin the conversion.
