After a lot of stress at work, my sweetheart told me that he wanted to take me on a nice date and pamper me. Of course I leaped at the suggestion and played right into his hands by asking if we could go get massages. Conveniently, our favorite spa is very close to the place he planned to propose -- the park we sat in on our first date, talking for hours. After a morning of leisurely shopping, he found a way to lead me to the park, where we sat down to "take a break" ? little did I know! He then told me that he had a present for me ? which I assumed would be some little thing he had picked up during the course of the day. "When did you buy me a present without me knowing?" Did your fiancé/fiancée already have an engagement ring? What did it look like?
It is perfect. He knew I wanted a pink sapphire or pink tourmaline, and that I wanted a classic yet unique engagement ring. My ring has a central cushion cut deep pink tourmaline, with two square diamonds on each side, as well as five small diamonds channel set on each side of the band. It is a new ring, but it has an antique engagement ring style, with filagree on each side of the white gold band.Any special details or other thoughts you'd like to share?
In the two weeks since that day, we can't stop asking each other "Will you marry me?"
