Why Is My Envision Flat Screen Resolution Fuzzy?
- HDTV's can only display high quality images if they are receiving high quality broadcasts. When upgrading to an HDTV be sure to also upgrade to high definition television service. Contact your cable or satellite provider to be sure you are receiving the best possible broadcast since standard cable or satellite service will deliver a standard signal in a non-widescreen format.
- A high definition broadcast can be limited by the cables being used to deliver the video signal to your HDTV. HDMI cables are always the best possible way to deliver a high definition signal. Any other type such as a yellow RCA cable or a coaxial cable will greatly reduce the quality of the video shown.
- Ensure your HDTV is set up properly. Display settings such as "stretch" or "zoom" will change the dimensions of the video being delivered, possibly distorting the picture quality. A "normal" or "standard" mode will deliver the best picture, even if it leaves black bars on the side of the picture. Choosing to maintain the video's original size will reduce fuzziness.
