How to Repair a Dent or Impression in a Bumper
- 1). Clean the dented bumper thoroughly with car soap and a rag. Dry the area with a cloth.
- 2). Aim a hair dryer set on high at the dent or impression on the bumper. Move the hair dryer slowly around the area for several minutes, holding the dryer about 3 inches from the bumper.
- 3). Ask your friend to put his arm under the bumper and on the back side of the dent. Instruct him to push the dent or impression toward you as you continue heating the area with the hair dryer.
- 4). Push the dent or impression out until the bumper snaps back into its original shape. Allow the bumper to cool for several hours to retain the shape.
