  Stone, tile, metal, and glass are all found in a contemporary design style, so think outside the box for creative wall decorations. Stone plaques, hand-painted tiles, tile designs, metal wall sculptures, and mirrors can all fit into the look of the bathroom. Plants of all shapes and sizes give any room a welcoming feel, so consider wall-mounted stone planters for small plants.

  Wall decorations can take up as much or as little of the available wall space as desired. For a completely open wall, consider installing a mirror on the entire wall, broken up into sections (3- by 3-foot pieces, 4- by 4-foot pieces). The same can be done with tile designs. Alternately, include a few single pieces of decorative tile on either side of a vanity mirror or behind a wall sconce.
