- 1). Cut the desired length of plastic ribbon. Wrap it once around the item to be tied. Select a light to medium weight, narrow-width plastic ribbon for making small bows; and a medium weight, wide ribbon for large ones.
- 2). Make a single, loose knot. Hold the ribbon near the knot on either side of it. Pull it gently to tighten.
- 3). Tie a loose bow. Grip the loops close to the center of the bow. Pull the loops gently near the knot to tighten.
- 4). Adjust the bow to shape.
