Kettlebell Swings: Intense Training Drill To Lose Weight! If you are serious about your training and are a results oriented individual then you have got to dial up your cardio workouts.
Now when I talk about intensity I don't mean pounding on the pavement for a 5 mile run.
There is nothing wrong with running, jogging, or walking, but if you are going to really transform your body fast then you have got to master some anaerobic exercise.
The overhead or full range kettlebell swing is just the exercise you need in order to do just that! Real cardio exercise workouts must consists of anaerobic activity.
Anaerobic means without oxygen, which means the exercise in and of itself causes an oxygen deficit.
Obviously you have to breath when its all over or you will die, but the point is that once you have completed engaging in this anaerobic activity your cardio-respiratory system has to play catch up.
In order to get your body back to recovery these mentioned systems are thrown into overdrive and the result is that you torch a ton of calories and body fat in the process! The full range kettlebell swing is done by swinging a single kettlebell with both arms from between your legs all the way up to above your head.
This movement is executed by you grabbing the bell and engaging your hips and knees in a constant action of flexion and extension.
By doing this you create the necessary momentum to swing the kettlebell in an arc like fashion until it builds up enough momentum to fly all the way up to above your head.
During this process you will want to make sure that your abs are tight, shoulders are retracted, and that you lock out at the top of each and every swing.
If you haven't already started executing the overhead kettlebell swing into your intense cardio training workouts then you are missing out.
