• The 40RV525U has a 40-inch LCD screen that operatesat a 60-hertz scan rate. Its maximum resolution is 1920-by-1080, and since it uses progressive scanning it is a 1080p display. The display's pixel response time is 8 milliseconds. You can select different TheaterWide modes for viewing content that isn't in the proper aspect ratio, like 4-by-3 programs. Another mode is "Native" mode, which scales the image to fit within your TV's display borders.
  
  

Audio

• The TV has 2 bulit-in stereo speakers. Each speakers draws approximately 10 watts. You're able to adjust bass and treble as well as balance between the two speakers. The speakers can use QSound enhancement for 3D sound effects, which mimics the effect of surround sound with only the TV's two speakers. The display has a "half mute" function where the volume is reduced by half; this is accessed by pressing the remote's "MUTE" button, which alternates between half mute, full mute and full volume.
