How to Hook Up Comcast
- 1). Plug the coaxial cable coming through the wall or attached to the cable wall outlet, installed by the Comcast technician, into the RF terminal labeled "Cable In" on the back of the Comcast cable box. Secure the coaxial cable to the terminal by twisting the screw-on, connector, which surrounds the cable's plug, clockwise.
- 2). Use another coaxial cable to connect the RF output terminal labeled "TV" on the back of the cable box to the TV set's RF "Antenna" input.
- 3). Turn on the TV and cable box.
- 4). Set the TV's channel to 3.
- 1). Connect the coaxial cable from the cable wall outlet, installed by the Comcast technician, to the RF terminal on cable modem.
- 2). Insert one end of an HDMI cable into the HDMI output jack located on the rear panel of the cable box. Connect the other end of this cable to the TV set's HDMI input jack.
- 3). Turn on the TV and cable box.
- 4). Repeatedly press the "Input" button on the TV's remote control until the TV's video input channel is set to HDMI.
- 1). Plug one end of the red, white, and yellow AV cable into the color corresponding AV output jack on the back of the cable box. The red, white, and yellow AV jacks are respectively labeled "Audio R," "Audio L" and "Video."
- 2). Connect the other end of each AV cable, from Step 1, to the color corresponding AV input jack on the back of the recording device.
- 3). Use another set of AV cables to connect the recording device's AV output jacks to the color corresponding AV input jacks on the TV set.
- 1). Connect the coaxial cable attached to the cable wall outlet, installed by the Comcast technician, to the RF terminal on the cable modem.
- 2). Plug one and of an Ethernet cable into the modem's Ethernet jack.
- 3). Insert the other end of the Ethernet cable into the computer's Ethernet jack.
- 4). Turn on the modem.
