How to Do an Inside Out Braid
- 1). Brush or comb your hair thoroughly to get out any knots and tangles that will get in the way of your braid. Decide where on your head you are going to start your braid. It can begin at the very top of your head if you like, or closer to the back of your head for a less showy look.
- 2). Gather a small section of hair at the top of your head or wherever you are beginning your braid. Divide the section into three smaller sections of hair and keep them separated with both hands.
- 3). Begin your braid by crossing the right section of hair from right to left under the middle section of hair, then crossing the left section from left to right under the middle section. Keep the strands separate from one another to ensure a tidy braid.
- 4). Add a small amount of hair from the right side of your head to the section of hair that is now on the right then cross the now thicker section from right to left under the middle section, then add a small amount of hair from the left side of your head to the section of hair on the left side that has not yet been added to. Cross the now thicker left section from left to right under the middle section.
- 5). Repeat the process, adding hair to the left and right sections before crossing them under the middle until you have reached the end of your hair.
- 6). Secure the end of the braid with a hair tie and spray your braid with hairspray to keep it in place if you desire.
