    • 1). Loosen both of the front wheel's lug nuts with an 18 mm socket. Set the parking brake and lift the front wheels off the ground with a jack.

    • 2). Unscrew the lug nuts completely from the left-front wheel. Pull the left-front wheel off the ATV's hub to access the front brake caliper.

    • 3). Pull the brake pad pin plugs out of the side of the front brake caliper by hand. Unscrew the brake pad pins with a 5 mm Allen wrench. Remove the caliper mounting bolts with a 14 mm socket. Lift the caliper off its mounting bracket and the front brake disc.

    • 4). Insert a flat screwdriver into the caliper and push the brake pads against caliper's walls to force the caliper's piston back into a fully opened position.

    • 5). Push the brake pads downward to free the pads from the caliper's pad spring. Pull the brake pads out from the caliper. Remove the metal shim from the back of the piston-side brake pad.

    • 6). Place the metal shim over the back of the new piston-side brake pad. Insert both brake pads into the caliper. Press the brake pads down against the pad spring to set them into place.

    • 7). Push the brake pad pins into the caliper and through the mounting holes in the brake pad's backing plates. Tighten the pad pins with a 5 mm Allen wrench. Press the pin plugs over the tops of the pad pins.

    • 8). Slide the brake caliper over the front brake disc and onto its mounting bracket. Reinsert the caliper's mounting bolts and tighten with a 14 mm socket.

    • 9). Mount the left-front wheel onto the ATV's hub. Screw the lug nuts onto the front wheel and tighten with a socket wrench.
