- 1). Paint the walls in a warm color that will allow the antique keys to stand out. Creams, pale grays and tans are neutral, so they will work with a variety of other colors and styles, and won't detract from the color or texture of your keys. Alternatively, hang wallpaper on the lower portion of your walls or on a single wall with an antique key print or design.
- 2). Screw small wooden pegs into the walls to hang large antique keys. Create a straight line for about five keys or three huge keys.
- 3). Tie the antique keys to fishing wire to create a long strand of keys. Screw small hooks into the ceiling or high on the walls and hang the strands of keys. Hang at least 10 strands to create a beaded curtain look.
- 4). Hot glue the keys to photo mats inside thick frames or shallow shadowboxes. Hang the picture frames on the walls.
- 5). Fill glass bowls or vases with random antique keys to sit on the mantle, sofa table or end table.
- 6). Accessorize the room with throw pillows, prints or artwork that depict images of antique keys.
