• 1). Fully charge your iPod device.
  
  
• 2). Set your iPod's hold button to the on position and then set the hold button to the off position.
  
  
• 3). Press and hold the "Menu" and "Select" buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears on your iPod's screen.
  
  
• 4). Release the "Menu" and "Select" buttons.
  
  
• 5). Press and hold the "Play/Pause" and "Select" buttons simultaneously until the Disk Mode screen appears.
  
  
• 6). Connect the iPod data cable to the bottom of your iPod device and attach the other end of the iPod data cable to an available USB port on your computer. Open the iTunes program. The screen on your iPod will say "Do not disconnect."

• 4). Press and hold the "Previous" and the "Next buttons simultaneously until the Disk Mode screen appears on your iPod's screen.
  
  
• 5). Connect the iPod data cable to the bottom of your iPod device and attach the other end of the iPod data cable to an available USB port on your computer. Open the iTunes program. The screen on your iPod will say "Do not disconnect."
