    Memory Tips

    • If the Touch Pro2's 288 MB of built-in memory isn't enough, the phone comes with a Secure Digital card slot that facilitates expanded memory. SD memory cards come in a variety of capacities, including 2, 4 and 8 GB. With expanded memory, there will be more room to add content, such as music, contacts, photos and apps. It's a good idea to get into the habit of checking the phone periodically to make sure you're not storing files or apps you no longer want or use.

    Connectivity Tips

    • Equipped with Bluetooth wireless technology, the HTC Touch Pro2 gives you several profiles, or modes, such as headset (HSP), object push (OPP), hands-free (HFP) and phone book access (PBA). The HSP profile gives you the option of using a two-way wireless headset to make and receive calls, while the OPP profile allows you to transfer data from one Bluetooth-equipped device to another. Similar to the HSP profile, the HFP profile uses the Touch Pro2's speakerphone to facilitate two-way hands-free calling and the PBA profile allows you to share contact information with other mobile devices. To add content and synchronize data, the Touch Pro2 connects to a personal computer through a USB cable.

    Messaging Tips

    • The HTC Touch Pro2 is capable of sending text, photo, voice and video messages and of supporting mobile email clients through a connection to a Post Office Protocol (POP3) or Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP4) server. The phone also provides instant messaging support through an Internet connection with a IM client, such as Yahoo! or America Online. Most IM providers offer their services in conjunction with an email account, which can be obtained from the provider's website. To activate the mobile email and IM capabilities on the phone, you will need to download any required apps and adjust the settings on your phone.

    Wi-Fi Tips

    • All wireless service providers require you to have a data plan as part of your wireless service plan when purchasing a smartphone, such as the HTC Touch Pro2. Since the Touch Pro2 is Wi-Fi-compatible, you can access the Internet whenever you are near a wireless router without using your plan's megabyte limit, saving you from having to purchase the unlimited data plan from your wireless provider. To benefit from this trick, you will need to spend the majority of your time within a Wi-Fi hotspot, such as your home or office, assuming your company allows for Wi-Fi connectivity at work.
