- 1). Buy your replacement speaker from an electrical retailer or online. You'll need to make sure that you are buying a speaker with similar specifications to the one that you're replacing to achieve the desired results. The DAV-HDX265 serves a sub woofer, two front speakers and two surround sound speakers.
- 2). Disconnect the speaker cable from the back of the old speaker by pushing down the tabs on the "in" ports and pulling the cable out.
- 3). Connect the speaker cable to the new speaker ensuring that you insert the positive and the negative wires correctly. Also make sure that there is no bare wire protruding from either port to avoid the risk of short circuit.
