- 1). Disconnect the Ethernet and coaxial cables from any electronic devices before hooking up the adapter. Press the tab on the Ethernet plug and pull straight back to disconnect the cable. Twist the metal ring on the end of the coaxial cable counter-clockwise to disconnect it from a device.
- 2). Insert one end of the Ethernet cable into the corresponding port on the adapter box.
- 3). Attach the coaxial cable to the threaded jack on the other side of the adapter box, turning the metal ring clockwise on the end of the cable.
- 4). Reconnect the other ends of the Ethernet and coaxial cables to their respective electronic components.
- 5). Plug in the power cord for the adapter box to the round jack on the box and connect the other end to an electrical outlet.
