How Rhapsody Works

• Rhapsody is a paid subscription service that allows you to stream music on your computer. You can also download individual songs or albums that can be transferred to your MP3 player or iPod.
  
  

Automatic Transfers

• When you download Rhapsody, you can select the option to have your purchased music automatically downloaded to your iTunes library so it can be transferred to your iPod.
  
  

Rhapsody To Go

• Rhapsody offers a "to go" plan that allows you to transfer music to an MP3 player without paying for individual downloads---provided you have a current monthly subscription. However, the iPod is not one of the compatible devices for this service.
  
  

iPhone and iPod Touch

• The iPhone and iPod Touch can connect directly to the Rhapsody To Go plan through a downloadable application. After an initial free trial, a monthly membership is required to use the application.
  
  

Advantage

• Because Rhapsody is a streaming service, you can listen to full songs before purchasing, whereas iTunes only plays short snippets before you purchase songs.
