Basic Passcode

• 1). Tap the "Settings" app on your iPod touch home screen.
  
  
• 2). Tap "General" and then tap "Passcode Lock."
  
  
• 3). Tap "Turn Passcode On." Type in a four-digit passcode at the Set Passcode screen, then enter the same passcode again.
  
  

Complex Passcode

• 1). Tap the "Settings" app on your iPod touch home screen.
  
  
• 2). Tap "General" and then tap "Passcode Lock."
  
  
• 3). Tap the "On/Off" toggle to the right of Simple Passcode until "Off" is highlighted in gray, then tap "Turn Passcode On."
  
  
• 4). Type your passcode at the Set Passcode screen using the keypad that appears on the lower half of the touch screen. Tap "Next" after entering your passcode. Enter your passcode again and then tap "Done" in the upper right corner of the touch screen.
