- 1). Close all of the doors and fasten the driver's seat belt so that the warning chimes do not conflict with the programming process.
- 2). Place the key in the ignition. Turn the key to the "ON" position, then to the "OFF" position four times in six seconds. Listen for a chime indicating that the remote system has entered a "leaning mode" for 10 seconds.
- 3). Press any button on the remote transmitter that you wish to program until another chime sounds, indicating that the remote transmitter has been recognized by the system. Program another remote, if desired, in the same fashion and within 10 seconds of the last chime. Repeat for up to four remote transmitters.
- 4). Start the engine, or wait 10 seconds after programming your remote to deactivate the learning mode.
- 5). Test the remote by locking or unlocking the doors using the buttons on the transmitter.
