Readers' Choice Awards 2012 - Time to Vote

Voting has ended, and the Readers' Choice Awards 2012 Winners have been announced.

Original content continues:

It's that time of year again; time for the annual Readers' Choice Awards. The nomination process is complete, and you, the readers of About: Macs, have selected the top contenders in each of the 8 Mac Readers' Choice Awards categories.

How the Finalists Were Selected

We went through each category and ensured that each nominee was appropriate for the category it was nominated in.

After weeding out a few nominees that didn't belong in any of the Mac categories, we set about picking the top nominees to move forward. We prefer to have up to five contenders in each category for the voting round. When there were ties (the same number of nominations), then we made the final decision.

Time to Vote For The Readers' Choice Awards 2012

With the finalists selected, it's time for you to vote for your favorites. Voting will continue until March 21, 2012, at which time the polls will close and we'll tally the results. The winners will be announced on March 30.

There will be a single winner in each of the 8 Mac Readers' Choice Awards categories. Each category has its own page, so you can see who the finalists are and vote for the one you think is the best. You can start voting with the next page, which is the Best Mac System Utility category, and then click through each page to vote. Or if you prefer, you can use the jump list below and vote in any order you choose.

You can vote once per day.

Remember, the winner takes all in each category, so vote early and often for the application or service you like the best. Be sure to ask your friends and family to vote as well; their vote can make the difference between winner and runner-up.
