How to Format an iPod to NTFS
- 1). Attach your iPod cable to your Apple iPod, then plug the other side of the cable into an open USB slot on your desktop or laptop computer. Wait while your computer loads the driver and the device is available.
- 2). Click "Start," then type "format" in the instant search field. "Create and format hard disk partitions" appears in the list for you to select.
- 3). Select your iPod from the list of available volumes in the Disk Management console.
- 4). Right-click on your iPod and choose "Format."
- 5). Type a new name for your iPod, select "NTFS" from the pull-down menu and click "OK." Your iPod device is now configured as an NTFS volume and ready to be used for external storage.
