Rotor Removal on a Jeep Liberty
- 1). Raise the front end of the Jeep with the jack. Undo the lug nuts on the front wheels with the tire iron and pull the wheels off of the suspension with both hands.
- 2). Unbolt the brake caliper with the ratchet, then pull the caliper off of the rotor using your hands. Hang the metal hook on the suspension and hang the caliper on the other end of the hook to support its weight.
- 3). Pull off the metal retainers along the wheel studs using the needle-nose pliers. Don't worry about damaging these clips, as it's not necessary to reinstall them when you reinstall the rotors. Slide the rotor off of the wheel hub.
