How to Do Skater Hair
- 1). Grow out short hair. Most skater hair is at least one or two inches long, sometimes longer. Skater hair typically features long bangs that may go past the eyebrows.
- 2). Use a razor to give your hair a messy, textured look. Run the razor along the edges of clumps of hair to create this messiness.
- 3). Comb bangs in front of your eyes, with hair pushed slightly to the right or left. Your bangs should appear to swoop slightly. If your hair is too long to accomplish this look without severely blocking your vision, or looks uneven, cut your hair using scissors. Don't cut bangs too evenly. Messiness is an important part of the skater look.
- 4). Add highlights to your hair with a highlighting kit. Alternatively, completely bleach your hair or let the sun lighten your hair.
- 5). Wear your hair messy by avoiding hair brushing. Use a hair pomade to spike your hair for a messier look.
