How to Install a DVD Player With a NAV System

    • 1). Plug one of the RCA video plugs into the DVD player. RCA video ports are the yellow ports that are often accompanied by red and white ports on home entertainment devices.

    • 2). Use a box cutter to cut a hole in the seat. Position the hole as close to the DVD player as possible to conceal the hole. Cut a hole in the bottom of the seat. Cut a hole in the carpet under the seat. Bend a wire hanger out of form and straighten it, then slide the wire hanger under the carpet, pushing through the glue and creating a path for the cable to travel through. Cut a hole in the carpet under the navigation system.

    • 3). Run the free end of the RCA cable through the top hole in the seat, down through the bottom hole, into the carpet and have it exit out the carpet hole located under the navigation system.

    • 4). Plug the RCA cable into the yellow RCA video port of the navigation system. Insert a DVD into the DVD player. The video signal from the DVD player is sent to the navigation system, where it is displayed on the screen.
