    • 1). Hold the Shift button while expand the "Start Menu" from your toolbar, clicking on the "All Programs" menu, and clicking the iTunes icon from the folder labeled "iTunes."

    • 2). Stop holding the shift button to open a dialogue box--a window which your computer uses to ask your preference on an action. The window asks whether you want to "Choose a Library" or "Create Library."

    • 3). Select "Create Library" to open a window where you can save your library folder to any location on your hard drive. For convenience, save it to your iTunes library folder where the other folder named "iTunes Music" is saved. Usually the first folder can be found in the folder named "iTunes," a sub-folder of the "My Music" folder.

    • 4). Open the same window by holding shift, clicking start, and clicking the iTunes icon to select the button that says "Choose a Library;" this lets you choose the library you need for the iPod you are going to plug into your computer.
