- 1). Place the camper unit on level ground if in your driveway. Maneuver your car and the hitched camper into the spot where it will be set up if at the campsite. Choose a level spot rather than an incline.
- 2). Take the camper trailer off your hitch, if traveling. Lower the hitch stand to the ground if one is attached.
- 3). Locate the crank arms on the sides of the pop-up camper. With a partner, begin to turn the cranks at the same time so that the camper apparatus raises up simultaneously on both sides – this prevents running back and forth or expansion arm damage.
- 4). Secure the expansion arms when fully extended. Locate and position the support poles inside and outside the camper, particularly if it has extended sunroofs. Go inside and relocate the beds and slide out tables as necessary to make the camper ready for use.
- 5). Pull the door out of its travel position and lock it into place on the camper entrance wall.
- 6). Double-check all the cranks and position locks or supports. Confirm all stabilizers are in place underneath the bed areas that extend out from the camper. Enjoy the camper.
- 7). Reverse Steps 6 through 1 to break down the camper and compact it again for travel.
