Stanley - I found this campground as a member of KOA, and I RV camped there in May 2004.
Campground Review
My wife and visited Myrtle Beach KOA immediately following bike week. We found the campground staff to be very nice and helpful. The campground itself is one of the best, if not the best, KOA we have ever visited. The grounds were very clean and beautiful. The sites were mowed and level with asphalt roadways.
There is 24-hour security. The large wooded sites are very clean. In fact, when someone left the staff would almost immediately police the site, rake it, and clean up all ashes and any wood left over from campfires. We were about 2000 feet from the ocean, which is a five-minute walk at most. It was nice to be on the busy beach and then be able to return to the peace and quiet beauty of the campground and not a hotel room. One other item of interest: they do not put anyone right beside you as long as spaces are available. We were told that is the owners rule, a great little something extra. There is no other campground down there that we visited and checked out better than the KOA.
