How to Make Fun Refrigerator Magnets
- 1). Choose three contrasting sheets of colored foam. Cut an odd shape with scissors on one sheet about 3 inches by 3 inches. Cut similar size odd squares for each magnet you plan to make.
- 2). Cut a second odd shape on a contrasting sheet of foam and make this shape a little smaller than the first one; repeat with the third foam sheet, with shapes that are smaller still. You will need one shape of each size, in contrasting colors, for each magnet you're making.
- 3). Assemble the squares by stacking them in threes, mixing and matching the foam squares in a colorful design. (See photo accompanying the article.)
- 4). Apply a bit of hot glue between the layers of foam squares and let them dry.
- 5). Remove the paper off the self-sticking side of a 1-inch square magnet piece and attach to the back of each magnet you've created.
- 6). With markers, on the front of each magnet, write one letter of the word or name you're creating.
