How to Make Photo Quilt Blocks
- 1). Import all photographs to the computer with a digital camera or a scanner.
- 2). Cut the freezer paper to measure 8 1/2 by 11. Cut the muslin to the same size. Iron the muslin to the wax side of the freezer paper. Trim off all the muslin threads at the edges, or they will jam the printer.
- 3). Drag a photograph to the word processing program on the computer and size the photo to 4 inches by 4 inches.
- 4). Print the photograph on the freezer/muslin paper. Peel off the freezer paper and cut out the photo, leaving a 1-inch border around the picture.
- 5). Cut contrasting fabric in 2-inch strips and sew the strips to the muslin photo as a border, using a 1/4-inch seam and a straight stitch.
